I picked this one up as preparation for the Ragnarök Festival. VANAHEIM play lively, epic folk metal which appears very cheerful. Sometimes they remind me of Moonsorrow, Ensiferum, Equilibrium or Finsterforst. The songs are packed with fresh ideas, pathos and creativity, sometimes even too much for my taste. But live they performed a crowd-moving set and left the stage as a big winner and with many new supporters. Check the mighty opener "Unit Steen Geslagen".
